Towable Tubes - How Do You Use Them?

As with any water sport, the very first thing that you should be concerned about is safety. Everyone wants to ride again and if you do not follow some basic safety procedures then someone might get hurt. Make sure anyone who is riding the towable is a good swimmer and is wearing a proper life jacket.

Using a towable tube could not be any simpler. You will need a few basic things.

1. A boat towable
2. An air pump ( If your new boat towable is not already inflated )
3. A Boat capable of pulling a ski tube
4. A ski rope - tow harness
5. One lucky person to ride.

Once you have all of the items that you need, you are ready to rock and roll! As the rider, you have the easy part. Your job is to hold on and have fun. I think just about anyone can do this.

Some folks like to start the tube ride in shallow water,others prefer to take off in the deep, either way the idea is basically the same. The boat pulls the towable tube behind it. The tube slides and bounces in the wake. It is a thrill that everyone should try at least once in their lifetime.

If you are lucky enough to have a bungee rope for your tow rope then you are in for one wild ride. This will make the tube ride totally unique. The boat will take off and as it goes, the bungee rope stretches like a giant rubber band. The tube starts to move really slow and once the bungee rope has stretched to the max, it recoils and the tube instantly goes full speed across the top of the water.
